
The European Democracy Caucus was set up in 2005 as an informal, all-party group of Members of the European Parliament, committed to the promotion of democracy worldwide, but primarily in the EU's "new neighbourhood".
Edward McMillan-Scott, Vice-President of the European Parliament, who set up the European Democracy Initiative in the early 90s, is chairman and his Brussels office acts as contact point.
